In recognition of Clearspring's belief in the importance of nature's life free from chemical and human interference and in honor of the methods practiced by the Romans over 2,000 years ago, Clearspring's traditional sea salt is harvested by hand in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve on the shores of Faro (Algarve) in Portugal.
In order not to expose the salt to high temperatures, we put it in large salt basins and expose it to the bright sun.
The dried crystal salt is harvested by hand using large wooden presses specially made from nature. Then it is transported to the local factory, where it is hand-chosen, carefully milled and of high quality, and packed in bags in order to reach you safely. We at Clipspring do not process this salt in any way and do not add any additives such as caking agents or bleaching agents, to ensure that it is organic and retains all its original structural properties.

Sea salt comes in the form of mineral-rich raw crystals extracted directly from sea water and has a moderate alkaline level. It is necessary in the process of absorbing sodium in the body. The sea water brine contains essential mineral salts and some minerals such as magnesium, calcium and potassium, all of which come in ideal proportions for daily use.
